Agent-owned dashboards

In 2.0.0 every agent stores its own dashboard hierarchy and supplies the browser implementation for each installed dashboard provider. The portal is the editor and viewer; it no longer owns dashboard data or provider code.

How a dashboard is assembled

TREE

Dashboard Hierarchy

Stores folders, pages, provider selection, dashboard JSON, and user/group access rules in an agent Data Source.

UI

Provider module

Supplies its editor, viewer, styles, icons, and translations from the connected agent.

WEB

Portal shell

Synchronizes provider resources and calls the hierarchy Remote API over the authenticated environment channel.

Upgrade note: legacy 1.1.0 dashboards stored in the portal database are not migrated automatically. Back them up and recreate or transfer them to the agent before applying the portal schema update.

Minimum configuration

01

Install dashboard modules

Install Dashboards and any provider modules required by this agent.

02

Configure Dashboard Hierarchy

Select an active Data Source. The local Data Source is the default and requires no extra setup.

03

Create folders and pages

Use the portal dashboard tree. Assign a provider to each page, configure access, and edit its content.
